Peyman Solieman considered himself too busy to have time to work out, being a surgeon and a father. When comparing himself to the people in his social circle, he found that he was still thinner than them. So, he thought things were fine until, at one point, he noticed that while walking down the stairs he was turning his legs in a little, thus actively crutching himself.
…when you combine a diet where you really don’t think about what you eat with an almost-10-year period where I stopped working out, you have the makings of an out of shape dad.
This became a wake-up call for him. He started to wonder whether he would be able to run around with his kids in his current shape, or would he be too tired. So, he got a personal trainer and started working out, losing 20 pounds in 4 months. This is his success story. Go out and create your own.
- You can get shredded even late in your life – don’t use age or time as an excuse.
- Controlling your diet is still very important.
- Don’t get demotivated if you don’t see big results immediately.
